REEF is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization headquartered in Key Largo, FL. Our more than 22,000 members worldwide contribute to the preservation and protection of marine resources through active participation in education and data gathering programs. REEF's Fish Survey Project, Great Annual Fish Count, Invertebrate monitoring program, Mangrove Ecosystem Research Project and numerous special projects have gathered over 40,000 marine life surveys since 1993. Current survey regions include all of the greater Caribbean, coastal North America, Gulf of California, and Hawaii. Data are all available on REEF's website at www.reef.org Marine Life Identification curricular materials are also available on the website. REEF works with several local partners in the implementation of these and other marine related programs.
