Dear Friends,
This spring brings a new version of CORAL's Annual Report, entitled Coral Reefs Forever. Filled with stunning underwater photos, it outlines CORAL's five-year plan to expand into 17 centers of excellence from which the knowledge and skills of successful coral reef conservation will be spread to neighboring communities. If you are a donor, look for a copy of Coral Reefs Forever in a mailbox near you, or check our website www.coral.org/annualreport for the online version.
As we continue celebrating the International Year of the Reef, I invite you to join CORAL in spreading the word about coral reef conservation at one of these upcoming events:
Our friend, artist Jerry Vendetti, will be the featured speaker at the San Diego Indie Music Fest on March 29. Jerry will be speaking on the main stage of the festival about the many threats facing coral reefs and the urgent need to protect them.
On March 26, CORAL Board Member, Dr. Rod Fujita will be giving a free presentation in Boulder, CO about the critical issues surrounding coral reef conservation, followed by a reception at the Boulder City Club. For more information, see the article below.
If geography prevents you from attending either of these events, visit the official IYOR website to find other ways to get involved in the International Year of the Reef 2008.
Cheers,

Brian Huse, Executive Director
