SOUTHEAST FLORIDA – The Southeast Florida Coral Reef Initiative is sponsoring a series of free workshops for the marine tourism industry during May 2006 entitled “Coral Reefs & Sustainable Marine Tourism: Protect Your Business by Protecting Your Reef.” The workshops will feature international and local experts discussing the socioeconomic value of the coral reefs, innovative local solutions and market sustainability. Interactive discussions will explore emerging issues and encourage reef conservation as a best management practice.
The workshops, presented by The Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL), will be held in Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward Counties, and pre-registration is required.
