This overview is intended to provide a&nbsp;practical introduction to LID principles and describe their&nbsp;specific relevance and uses within hotel and resort properties&nbsp;in Hawai\u2018i. Topics covered include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>LID effects on watershed health<\/li><li>Economic, social, and environmental benefits of LID<\/li><li>LID projects that hotels can implement<\/li><li>Case studies of LID projects in Hawai\u2018i<\/li><li>Getting started with LID (permitting, site planning, etc.)<\/li><li>Negative effects of stormwater runoff on coral reef health<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Is this Guide for?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This guide was developed for the hotel and accommodations&nbsp;industry in Hawai\u2018i including, but not&nbsp;limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Property managers<\/li><li>Maintenance and facilities personnel<\/li><li>Guests<\/li><li>Hotel and condominium owners<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also useful for project planners, investors, business&nbsp;owners, and the extended property management and&nbsp;development community at large.
