About Abby Rogers
As our most prolific volunteer in Maui, Hawai‘i, Abby has grown over 900 native plants to protect coral reefs. She’s an avid environmentalist and a newly certified SCUBA diver. She was excited to chat with Dr. Madhavi Colton about why it’s important to protect coral reefs and gain insight into what it’s like being a female scientist.

About Dr. Madhavi Colton
As CORAL’s Executive Director, Dr. Colton spends her days strategizing ways to save the world’s coral reefs and galvanizing resources. She believes it’s up to us to protect coral reefs for future generations—and she believes we can do so if we act swiftly. She was excited to hear Abby’s fresh perspective on why coral reefs are important and what we can do to protect them.
