Paolo Guardiola
North Coast Principal Program Coordinator
Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Paolo graduated from the National Autonomous University of Honduras as a biologist. He completed his professional university practice with the Cuero y Salado Honduras Foundation. While there, he oversaw the monitoring carried out in the wildlife refuge and worked with different groups of fishers in the area. In addition to working as a volunteer on different occasions in the botanical garden of Lancetilla, Paolo also joined reef monitoring programs carried out by the Healthy Reef Initiative on the North Coast of Honduras. In 2019, Paolo was selected to be part of the Mesoamerican Reef Leadership Program. He currently works as the Program Coordinator of the North Coast, where he develops governance processes and fisheries monitoring to protect the health of local coral reefs and communities.
